It’ll be interesting to see how many women of color make it onto the Republican ticket in this year’s midterms. As Meredith and I wrote last year, the historic number of women of color who entered Congress in 2021 was buoyed by gains among Republican women. That’s unusual, because most women of color in Congress are Democrats. But maybe that will continue to change this year if more candidates like Green win in Republican primaries.
