I don’t think Hollingsworth would have faced much primary competition. As it is, 70 percent of Hollingsworth’s current seat is in the new version of the 9th District, and he’s personally wealthy, so anyone taking him on was going to have to spend a lot. Granted, he did carpetbag initially to run here, having moved to Indiana from Tennessee just ahead of his 2016 run. But I think that issue had sailed.
