Yeah, this process hasn’t been simple. But what I do first is start off with a brief search of the candidate — how involved this ends up being, though, depends a lot on how serious the candidate is. For instance, higher-profile candidates (like incumbents) are generally easier because we have more coverage of their positions and official votes, while lesser-known candidates are often harder to track down.
If this search doesn’t turn up anything, though, I then turn to a candidate’s social media pages, both personal and campaign-related. I’ve kept my Twitter and Facebook searches pretty simple — I search three keywords, Trump, Biden and election — and then I just do a lot of scrolling, skimming and reading, flagging anything that looks potentially interesting. And if that doesn’t turn up anything, I check their website to see if they have a stance on election integrity (or if there’s anything else interesting there).
