Last week, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Before then, the right to an abortion was protected under the U.S. Constitution, which meant that state lawmakers were unable to couldn’t just ban the procedure if they wanted to. Now states have free rein to ban, restrict and regulate abortion. So what happens next? Senior legal reporter Amelia Thomson-DeVeaux explains where abortion laws stand in each state. And things are changing fast — since we made this video four days ago, additional states have already implemented bans on abortion or proposed new ones.
