ABC News has projected Republican Rep. Claudia Tenney will win the GOP primary in New York’s 24th District, where Tenney decided to seek reelection after her current seat was mostly dismembered in redistricting. She could have had more trouble tonight, seeing as most of her district is unfamiliar to her: Just 6 percent of the new district’s constituents are in her current seat. Among all incumbents, only Democratic Rep. Mondaire Jones, who as we’ve discussed decided to run in the 10th District which he currently represents no part of, represents a smaller share of the district he’s running in than Tenney. But with about one-third of the expected vote reporting, Tenney is at 58 percent, well ahead of Mario Fratto’s 32 percent.
