In a bit of a surprise, Williams has pulled ahead of Wells in New York’s 22nd District, 56 to 44, and his lead is still inching up. Williams is a newcomer having bought a farm in Cayuga County, New York, after starting a software company based in California. (He previously served in the Navy.) Wells is a former treasurer of the New York Republican Party, and has had Republican PACs campaigning in support of his campaign.
