The Republican race in Florida’s 13th District is interesting to me because the GOP women’s groups are split. There were a few of these splits in last week’s primaries, and it may signal some intraparty conflict among organizations committed to the same goal. In that race, Trump has endorsed Luna, as Geoffrey just mentioned, but Luna also has the backing of E-Pac, the PAC started by Rep. Elise Stefanik after a poor showing from Republican women in 2018. E-Pac has more consistently endorsed alongside Trump than other GOP women’s group. But in this same race, VIEW PAC and Maggie’s List are supporting attorney Amanda Makki, who doesn’t appear to be making much of a showing.
