In all seriousness, Rhode Island has been a real roller coaster for Democrats this cycle. First, they thought the state was going to lose a seat, and that Reps. David Cicilline and Langevin would have to run against each other in a primary (and Democrats would be down a seat in the House). Some reporters may have even written thousands of words about what that primary would look like. Then re-apportionment came along and Rhode Island retained its second seat. Everyone breaths a sigh of relief, only for Langevin to announce his retirement! Now, Democrats have to defend an open, potentially competitive seat against a top-tier GOP nominee in Allan Fung.
