To build on Clare’s point about “If Washington were serving America well…” This sort of goes back to some of Buttigieg’s earlier rhetoric, like “at least he (Trump) didn’t go around saying America is already great, like Hillary Clinton did.” More recently, he’s positioned himself against some of the candidates offering more radical policy change, like Sanders and Warren. It will be interesting to see, going forward, how a more moderate policy course matches with the rhetoric of change.
