I agree that voters are not obsessed with the lanes and who exactly is the most moderate or liberal. That said, the Democratic Party at the elite level is quite split. And it’s easier for Nancy Pelosi to ignore/sideline The Squad if candidates aligned with the Squad’s ideology are combined polling in the 30s, compared to a majority of Democratic voters with Sanders/Warren.
