I’m a little wary of day-of-voting turnout comparisons, just because there are sometimes absentee ballots or provisional ballots still out, and I just don’t know the relevant laws. But one note: Because unaffiliated New Hampshire voters can participate in either the Republican or the Democratic primary, turnout in the Democratic race should be a bit higher than in 2016, when there was a competitive GOP race as well.
