Alrighty! Decision Desk HQ is now the first outlet to call Texas’s 34th District for Flores. Honestly (and some people on this live blog might disagree with me), but these results aren’t too surprising. Flores had the support of Gov. Greg Abbott, as well as the Congressional Leadership Fund, a super PAC close to House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. Meanwhile, national Democrats largely sat out of this race, while expressing confidence that their party will sail through the November election since that race will take place under district lines that are more favorable to Democrats. Will they win in November, though? Eh, I guess we’ll find out soon enough.
