Geoffrey, Poliquin was a Republican who was challenging election results before it was cool. He came in first place in the first round of that ranked-choice election in 2018, but he lost after the second- and third-place votes were tabulated. He went to court to argue that the new system was unconstitutional, but he was unsuccessful. He never conceded the race, though.
