What Went Down In The 2020 Nevada Caucuses
But Geoffrey, North Dakota is right next door to Minnesota and is culturally similar to the rural parts of Klobuchar’s state. I bet she thinks she can win there.
You may think Iowa and Nevada don’t have many pledged delegates — 41 and 36, respectively — but North Dakota has just 14.
Klobuchar is speaking in Minneapolis right now. She opens by noting that her campaign colors are green in homage to Sen. Paul Wellstone, a Minnesota progressive who won without much money and against the odds. She says her campaign will do just that in the presidential race. In other words, don’t think we’re gonna see her leaving the race right now. She says she plans to go to South Carolina but also hit up some other places, including North Dakota (!), Arkansas, Oklahoma. The last two states vote on Super Tuesday, but North Dakota votes on March 10.
