What Went Down In The 2020 Nevada Caucuses
The final alignment here is 45 for Biden and 76 for Sanders. There are two uncommitted members. Biden gets 19 delegates and Sanders gets 32 delegates.
So far, according to the preliminary entrance polls, 65 percent of caucusgoers are white, while 11 percent are black and 18 percent are Latino. Sanders is doing particularly well so far among Latino voters, while Biden and Steyer are stronger among black voters than other groups, and Buttigieg and Klobuchar are doing better with white voters than with others.
I should close the circle on that Sparks High School precinct where Sanders was initially the only viable candidate: Warren’s group stuck together and was able to add a person on realignment to become viable. So Sanders was not the only viable candidate in this precinct after all.
