On that note, I think a Colorado State assistant coach has been holding up a white board with the offensive play calls for most of their possessions. So far, I’ve seen “COWBOY” as a play they run.

I agree, Jared. That, combined with the longer shot clock, means college teams run a lot more plays to completion without anything happening.

Jake, it also seems like coaches are more exacting about having control of every offensive possession. There seem to be more slowed-down possessions and called plays, compared with some of the more free-flowing NBA teams. (One is not necessarily better than the other, but it’s a noticeable difference.) Is that fair to say?
