Jake, it also seems like coaches are more exacting about having control of every offensive possession. There seem to be more slowed-down possessions and called plays, compared with some of the more free-flowing NBA teams. (One is not necessarily better than the other, but it’s a noticeable difference.) Is that fair to say?

You’re right, Jared, that officiating is a big factor, too. I’d add that in addition to the overall quality lacking at the college level, there’s a ton of annoying variability between the leagues, in my opinion.

How similar stylistically are these college offenses to one another? NBA shot distribution has become homogenous, but watching the Jazz and the Sixers, for example, you would not think they are playing close to the same way.
