What Went Down In The First Round Of The NCAA Tournament
There’s slightly more parity in college, too, though maybe less than we commonly think (for March’s “mad” reputation). Since 2000, 13 different schools have won the men’s title while 10 different NBA teams have won (and that’s actually been more parity than the NBA norm, historically speaking).
My sister went to school in Providence (although, not at Providence College) so I thought I’d mention that it’s nice to see the Friars leading by at least 2.5 points at halftime (they’re up 31-23).
I guess one argument is that the NBA season is so grueling that guys have to take some regular-season games off. I don’t know, though. As the NBA gets more and more athletic and hypertalented and basketball grows in more and more places around the world, the talent disparity is a lot to overcome.
