What Went Down In The First Round Of The NCAA Tournament

Former President Obama made his brackets public again this year. As usual with POTUS’s picks, not a ton of upsets. He has Florida State beating Gonzaga, but otherwise all Nos. 1s and 2s in the Elite Eight.

That brings up an interesting contrast, because Louisville plays a sort of pack-line defense and likes to encourage opponents to shoot threes.

The Gophers are one of these rare teams in modern basketball that never shoot threes. Fewest 3-point share in the entire tournament. They also just hit a three as I was typing this. But don’t expect many more!
