So not to undermine the importance of the overall point raised here, but I think this tweet illustrates how we have really started to expect the nomination contest to be essentially another general election. The process in Iowa can be like this because it’s not an actual election — its main effects are to generate media, as we’ve said, and for candidates to demonstrate that they can campaign and appeal to voters.
