The largest national poll bounces out of Iowa, such as Kerry in 2004 and Obama in 2008, came from dramatically outperforming their Iowa poll results. That could mean that a Buttigieg victory on either measure has the best chance of creating a national story that moves numbers, especially since his news coverage understated his Iowa poll standing. Sanders winning narrowly might not be as large of a story, given expectations.
