I’m on your campaign spin beat here, and we’re seeing Buttigieg get some early buzz. An aide from the campaign told me, “It’s early, but our precinct captains report high enthusiasm and we’re hitting targets. We’re seeing good numbers in pivot counties.” They mentioned their appeal with younger voters and older ones (Buttigieg is second with voters under 30 and voters over 65, according to preliminary entrance poll data) and viability in “the vast majority of rural precincts.” In other words, they seem to be in same place as elections analyst Dave Wasserman, over at the Cook Report:
