What Did — And Didn’t — Go Down In The Iowa Caucuses

To state something pretty obvious, the closer the results are, the more the spin wars in the next few days are going to matter. (And the more annoying they’ll be.)

The early results lean toward the satellite caucuses, but it looks like there’s a bit of data from election night caucuses also. With that said, these numbers are probably from smaller caucuses that you might expect to be good for candidates like Buttigieg and Klobuchar.

The initial count at my location is complete! There are 797 caucusgoers at this precinct — just slightly more than in 2016, when there were 759 caucusgoers. The 797 number will now be used to establish the 15 percent viability thresholds that will be the make-or-break number for each candidate.
