One of the more interesting things that has happened in the Indiana primary is the lack of a strong link with the 2008 results. Clinton is holding her own in the southeastern part of the state, while greatly underperforming Obama’s percentage in the 2008 primary. Earlier today, I wrote about how Trump’s supporters are wealthier than is generally assumed, and there was some evidence of that on display again in Indiana. According to exit polls, 34 percent of Indiana voters tonight live in households making $100,000 per year or more, and Trump won 57 percent of those votes.
