What Went Down During Gordon Sondland’s Testimony
Both Democrats and Republicans are trying to use the impeachment process to appeal to their voters. In our poll with Ipsos, we find that Democrats are much happier with how their own party is handling the process than Republicans are with their party.
This, I think, is a good observation about some of the tightrope walking we’ve been seeing:
Sondland spending a LOT of time making sure to say he didn’t know that Burisma was linked to BIDEN. Volker made same claim yesterday.

Sondland is disputing some of the details from Holmes’s testimony, though — he says he wouldn’t have mentioned Biden to Holmes, for one thing. And he’s taking issue with some of the very direct language Holmes says he used about Trump’s views on Ukraine. We’ll hear more about this from Holmes tomorrow morning, of course.
