That line of questioning from Schiff took awhile, indicating that maybe, as Amelia said earlier, Sondland is going to continue to say he “doesn’t recall,” in much of his testimony today. But he did ultimately confirm that it was his belief that there was, in fact, a logjam where the president would not write that U.S. check for $400 million in aid until the investigations were announced. But again Sondland is very careful to hedge: “That was my belief.”
