What Went Down During Gordon Sondland’s Testimony

I am returning to the possibility that this ends in a blood sacrifice from Trump: If he feels the heat from GOP senators, can he quell that by jettisoning Giuliani, Pompeo and Sondland?

That email is interesting, Clare, in the context of Sondland’s earlier testimony. He said, in an exchange about his early August back-and-forths over the statement, that there was “nothing to ask Secretary Pompeo until we were ready to go.” That was right around when that new August 11 email was sent. Another example of how Sondland appears to be implicating Pompeo much more directly than he did in the past.
