What Went Down During Gordon Sondland’s Testimony

Yeah, Perry, I’m not sure if it matters now for Pompeo’s political future whether he leaves the State Department now or next year. He’s in this now.

What he just recounted, pulling aside a Ukrainian advisor and telling them that the aid was conditioned on investigations, is what Sondland infamously refreshed his memory about a couple of weeks ago. It’s a key detail.

His inserting Pompeo so deeply into the Ukraine scheme is interesting. Sondland is, to me, not making Trump seem a lot worse through his testimony. But he is making Pompeo seem worse.
