The vast majority of Republicans do not think that Trump made military aid conditional on an investigation of the Bidens. But it’s also noteworthy that about two-thirds of those who say it didn’t happen also say that it would be inappropriate if it did happen.

Sondland mentions that he expressed concerns about the withheld military aid to Republican Sen. Ron Johnson. Others have mentioned Johnson as an actor in these events as well. But of course, he will be one of the jurors voting on whether to remove Trump for office or not during the likely Senate trial. How will Johnson navigate that awkward role?
