What Went Down During Gordon Sondland’s Testimony

As someone who isn’t watching these hearings in as much detail as most of you are, can I ask a question? What is accomplished by these REALLLLLLLY long opening statements from Schiff? Especially when the testimony is going to be explosive, why not get to it faster?

Now Nunes is delivering his opening remarks, once again saying that this is nothing more than a media circus, adding that the Democrats are hell-bent on investigating Trump no matter what. “No conspiracy theory is too outlandish for the Democrats.”

A little observation for the people reading this and not watching — Sondland has a quite expressive face, so I have to say, it’s sort of fun to watch his reactions to the opening statements … especially as Nunes says “I’m really not glad you’re here.”
