Sondland might be unreliable as a witness. But it’s still kind of remarkable how much his testimony has “evolved” over the past month. In his initial testimony, he said he couldn’t remember a quid pro quo. Now he’s about to state directly that there was. Shows how effective the House Democrats’ investigation has been, at least in terms of uncovering enough evidence to make Sondland (arguably their most important witness) shift his stance.

So, I’m interested in Pompeo. There’s a New York Times report out this morning that Pompeo was being updated by Sondland on the efforts in Ukraine. Pompeo is also apparently looking to run for Senate in Kansas. Will this affect his prospects? How much will he get dragged into this?
