ABC News has projected Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr has won renomination, defeating his Trump-backed primary challenger, John Gordon. And it’s not close either: Carr leads 74 percent to 26 percent, very similar to Kemp’s 72 percent in the governor’s primary. In fact, there’s a strong correlation (r = .73) between the two candidates’ vote shares in the counties where both races have reported.
