Cruz is now speaking in the Senate, claiming democracy is in crisis because a recent poll found that 39 percent of Americans thought the election was rigged. Of course, that probably has a lot to do with the fact that Trump pushed unfounded claims about election fraud, leading a huge number of Republicans to believe that was the case.

Politico’s Olivia Beavers reports that buildings are being evacuated due to a “suspicious package” that was found, and Rep. Elaine Luria tweeted that she had to evacuate her office due to reports of a pipe bomb:

I don’t know, Galen. I think Georgia makes Trump look like a huge loser, which wasn’t necessarily true before. The question for certain Republicans may be whether they can come up with an alternative to Trump that they feel good about — that may be a lot harder.
