What Happened This Week In Washington — And Georgia

As Meena just said, it is absolutely surreal to be watching a sitting president of the United States publicly plead with his vice president (and implicitly threaten him) to steal a presidential election.

This is very normal for this president. But it’s still worth remarking on. This is such a bizarre norm-breaking use of the White House as a prop.

I know this has been happening for months now, but I still find it stunning to hear the sitting President of the United States boldly and baselessly claim the election was “stolen,” that votes weren’t real. It’s surreal.
