Speaking of efficiently tallying votes, I want you all to take a trip down memory lane with me to the first big electoral contest of 2020: the Iowa caucuses. Maybe 2021 really will be different.

Georgia is doing an efficient job tallying its votes so far. This is perhaps silly to mention given what actually happened, but Georgia was one of the states we thought would give us an early indication of the winner of the presidential race back in November. The problem was just that the state ended up being so close.

Maybe we’ll get a blue mirage followed by a red mirage!
