That’s an interesting theory, Micah — it doesn’t seem implausible to me that Republicans would be even more leery of voting by mail now than in November. On the other hand, Trump hasn’t exactly limited his false critiques of the November election to voting by mail, and he also was heavily criticizing mail voting in the lead-up to the November election, so I wonder if there’s a limit to the impact of that specific message.

Yeah, Galen, and in addition, there are fewer races on the ballot this time. I’m not sure if that factored into anyone’s thinking, but in-person voting likely took less time today than it did in November.

Micah and Nathaniel, I was gonna say it could also be that runoff elections are less important to people and so they decide later in the voting period (i.e. today) that they indeed were going to vote. I don’t know that we can link it directly to anti-vote-by-mail rhetoric. There was a ton of that in the run-up to November.
