What Went Down In The Fourth Democratic Debate
There are actually some surprising differences between the candidates on how to tackle the opioid epidemic. Both Yang and Buttigieg have proposed decriminalizing at least opioids for personal use, and apparently O’Rourke supports decriminalization as well. It’s kind of hard to imagine that only a few election cycles ago, proposing the decriminalization of marijuana would have been controversial, much less harder drugs.
Steyer lives in California, right? You’d think that would dissuade him from having some sort of national referendum policy, given the egregious overuse of direct democracy in that state.
Micah, I thought Klobuchar was strong when differentiating herself from Warren and Sanders on health care, talking about her family background during the debate on the wealth tax and then talking about opioids a moment ago.
