What Went Down In The Fourth Democratic Debate
Galen, you’re speaking my debate qualification language. I think of that quartet, Klobuchar and O’Rourke have been strongest tonight, and they’ve gotten a fair number of 2 percent results in recent polls. Those could turn into 3 or more percent and thus qualifying polls for the next debate if they stay strong tonight.
As Geoff has written for the site, all four reportedly have the 165,000 donors they need to get into the November debate, but they are each well short of the polling requirement — so I’m curious if this puts them over, too. Klobuchar and O’Rourke only have one qualifying poll each. We’ve still got time though until Nov. 20 and the deadline, which should be in the first week of November. I think Klobuchar makes it. Not sure about the other three.
The people who haven’t yet made the November debate who are currently on this stage are Klobuchar, Castro, Gabbard and O’Rourke. Is this debate going to help any of them make that debate?
