Biden is doing fine, but I don’t think he’s the one driving the conversation or commanding the stage. I think he’s done the best to remain affable and to tweak some of his policy ideas to fit 2019, though it’s mostly Obama administration stuff.

I think Pete has had excellent-crisp answers, making sure to emphasize he is from the Midwest and highlighting his youth.

Harris is doing well — one of the two best performers so far, I’d say. She has used emotion very effectively in her answers, and she had the line of the night (the “food fight” one).
