Remember Biden is in this debate?

Poll Bot

According to a HarrisX poll conducted for The Hill in March, 54 percent of Democrats support granting a universal basic income paying $1,000 a month, though a majority of Americans (57 percent) do not support the idea. The poll did not mention Andrew Yang, who has made the plan his signature campaign issue, and did not provide an option for respondents who were undecided on the proposal. Poll Bot hasn’t seen any other recent polling on the specific proposal, although pollsters like Gallup and Morning Consult have conducted surveys about the idea of a universal basic income in the past.

I just want to echo Nathaniel’s point about Vermont. It’s failed attempt to pass single payer in a single state will get a lot more attention if the Democratic nominee backs an expansive version of Medicare for All.
