What Went Down On Night One Of The First Democratic Debates
Warren gets another chance to speak — not sure on the time but she’s got to be leading by the way. She reiterates her support for Medicare for All and uses it as another chance to talk about “fighting” for something, in this case for families because health care costs too much. “Courage” and “fight” are words she’s used early on in reference to pushing for policies that help working people.
Klobuchar has made lowering drug costs a big priority. And even though it might seem like kind of a boring topic, it is one of the issues voters prioritize when it comes to health care.
“I’m with Bernie on Medicare-for-all,” Warren says. That is important. That may be the most important moment of the debate so far — and my guess is it might be the biggest one.
