What Went Down On Night One Of The First Democratic Debates
So far, it’s Savannah Guthrie v. Elizabeth Warren. It would great for her to let the candidates draw a contrast with Warren, instead of the moderator.
A Morning Consult/Politico poll conducted in March found that 46 percent of both Democrats and Republicans agree that “technology companies have too much power and the federal government should step in to regulate more.” Twenty-seven percent of Democrats and 32 percent of Republicans disagree with the statement.
O’Rourke and Warren have both hit the idea that wealth is corrupting politics. There’s evidence they’re right. But as I wrote about earlier this year, solving it is unlikely to be easy.
