Klobuchar is effective in discussing sexism. She says, “Women are held to a higher standard. Otherwise we could play a game called ‘name your favorite woman president,’ which we can’t do because it has all been men.” She’s right. Political science scholarship finds that one reason women tend to win at the same rate as men is because the women who run are more qualified.
