What Went Down In The Fifth Democratic Debate

Not to blow my own horn or anything, but I think my two candidates are winning the debate! Klobuchar has firmly planted her flag as a moderate (dismissing plans to “pay for rich kids to go to college” and “take health insurance away” from millions of Americans) and gotten off a few memorable lines about women in politics. Booker has also established himself as a Buttigieg alternative; I feel like his rebuttal of the wealth tax will perk up the ears of some wealthier Democrats looking for someone to give their money to.

Gabbard has basically not been involved in the debate either, other than a brief back and forth with Harris. Sanders came out strong for Medicare for All and emphasized he will push that idea in his first year as president, unlike Warren, who is now suggesting she would hold off until the third year of her presidency in making a full Medicare for All push.
