What Went Down In The Fifth Democratic Debate
It’s pretty ironic that the first debate to feature a substantive discussion of housing is the first debate to exclude the former secretary of Housing and Urban Development.
The conventional wisdom used to be that mayors weren’t credible presidential candidates. Now Booker seems more eager to talk about his experience as a mayor than his experience in the Senate.
I think this is the first time the candidates have gotten a question about housing, but it’s a topic that several of them have addressed in depth. Warren, for example, just released a plan to lower the costs of renting a home.
