What Went Down In The Fifth Democratic Debate
Not that I miss another Medicare for All retread, but it seems like the last half hour or so hasn’t been very substantive. Biden is talking about his justice department. Klobuchar talked about what women face in politics. Good theater, but veering off the issues and into the candidates talking about their qualifications and personal qualities.
It seems like all of the Top 4 candidates have been in the B range so far tonight (perfectly fine but not great)? It stands out a little bit more for Biden since he, uh, hasn’t always been in that range in past debates.
Yang gets a question about child care. But with all the organizing going on in states and cities around teachers and schools, I will be quite curious to see if this pivots into a broader conversation about education.
