It’s funny, as I’m listening to Biden’s first answer (he’s asked a question only after Warren, Sanders, Klobuchar and Buttigieg), I don’t have the feeling that I’ve been hearing a lot about/from him lately. I think Buttigieg and Warren have been eating up most of the air time/criticism cycle over the past couple of weeks.

I think in some ways, the fact that Pelosi went ahead with impeachment neutralized the issue in the primary. There’s not really any disagreement about it within the field, and while the candidates who were pushing for impeachment over Mueller might get some credit for it from voters, Democrats are impeaching over Ukraine instead, which lessens the salience of that argument a bit.

Worth noting, as Buttigieg talks about campaigning about impeachment, that it would probably be good for him if there’s a trial in the Senate in January. He’d still be able to campaign while Warren, Sanders and others would be stuck in DC.
