I don’t think Warren would have beaten Clinton in 2016, Geoff. But Clinton was going to be attacked on sexist grounds no matter what, and going back to our earlier convo, I think gender would have been activated as an identity for men no matter what — so would two women on the ticket have generated more excitement about the first woman president? Obviously, I don’t know, but it’s an interesting counterfactual.

Once again, like the high school classroom where Jill Biden spoke last night, the empty preschool has got to echo with parents who are preparing to send their children back to school virtually in a few weeks — or who are struggling to find child care.

I am really curious where Warren ends up if Biden wins. Is she in the cabinet (Treasury), some kind of economic policy job in the administration, on Capitol Hill really fighting for Biden’s agenda, or really kind of pushing against it, arguing that some of his appointees and decisions are too centrist?
