What Went Down On Night 3 Of The DNC
Yeah, it’s been a loooong time since we’ve heard the name Tara Reade, the woman who accused Biden of sexually assaulting her in the halls of the Capitol. But this segment helps rebut any claims that Biden has been disrespectful (or worse) to women.
As Galen said, we’re officially in prime time, and at this point the Democrats haven’t backed away from policy — or a possibly controversial issue for Biden, given some of the allegations he’s faced of inappropriately touching a woman. As Amelia said, they’re leaning into Biden’s work on the Violence Against Women Act, which he cosponsored and helped to pass in the Senate.
The Violence Against Women Act of 1994 was one of Biden’s proudest accomplishments in the Senate. It was, of course, also part of the big crime bill that passed that year, which is … unpopular among Democrats today, to say the least.
