During this musical interlude, here’s a question for everyone: What do people make of the recent uptick in Trump’s approval rating?

With this performance, the DNC is saying, “I know you aren’t enthusiastic about our nominee, young people, but here is Billie Eilish!!!”

I think COVID-19 makes me more optimistic about addressing climate change. I think it’s forced us all to recognize the important role of government in solving large-scale problems and allowed us to get used to the idea that we have to sacrifice some things. Plus, it has possibly bought us a little time by reducing carbon emissions temporarily, and probably reducing air travel for a while.
